Good Girls Don't Have to Dress Bad by Shari Braendel

Is this too revealing? Did I pay too much for it? Does it look good on me? Those are only a couple of questions women ask themselves when they get dressed in the morning. In her book, “Good Girls Don’t Have to Dress Bad,” Shari Braendel does an excellent job of addressing the way Christian women can dress to look their best. Immediately in the second paragraph of the introduction she says, “You have a responsibility as a Christian female to make sure that how you dress is a reflection of who you really are.” If you dress sloppy you might appear to other as sloppy. Is that the point you are trying to get across?

This book is full of advice on how to dress your specific body type, how to get the right hair cut for your face shape, even what glasses look good on your face, and yes, swimsuits too. The female reader will also be glad to see an entire chapter dedicated to undergarments and how important the right fit is. Once this book is completed it should take out all the guess work and time you spend getting ready and also once the reader realizes what colors and/or items look best on them there is no need to waste money on anything else.

The author bookends this read with scripture and spiritual wisdom to start you off on the right foot and also leave you with some parting wisdom in the end. In the last chapter she reminds the reader that beauty starts with knowing who God is.
